JOB DESCRIPTION:  Full-time Speech and Language Pathologist to work with preschool aged children.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Conduct speech and language screenings at daycares and preschools within the RBBCSC district as part of our child find requirements.
• Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team when a student is referred for an educational evaluation to determine eligibility for early childhood special education services.
• Administer, score, and interpret results of assessments
• Conduct observations of students within their current placement to determine whether or not present levels of communication skills are adversely affecting the child's ability to engage socially with same aged peers and / or engage in developmentally appropriate activities with their peers.
• Schedule and chair case conferences for students whose primary eligibility is Speech and / or Language Impairment
• Participate in case conferences as teacher of service
• Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Provide speech and language services as outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs
• Implement evidenced based practices when working with students
• Collaborate with all preschool team members
• Provide ongoing professional development to teachers and instructional assistants about how to best support students' abilities to communicate within the classroom
• Create and implement use of low-tech communication supports; implement use of high tech augmentative communication supports as appropriate
• Maintain confidentiality

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

The candidate must hold a valid Indiana state teaching license - Content Area:  Communication Disorders

Master's Degree in Speech & Language

Certificate of Clinical Competence (preferred)
